A leading global organization in the cell therapy and advanced immunotherapy space is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Supply Chain Specialist. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and facilitate global import/export shipment transactions, working closely with logistics teams, brokers, and Trade Compliance functions.
- Assign and maintain HTS & ECCN classifications for all commodities.
- Manage and respond to broker information requests to support timely import clearance.
- Resolve issues with governmental agencies (PGAs) to ensure quick shipment release.
- Support and manage Trade Compliance and Regulatory processes across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC regions.
- Apply strong knowledge of EMA and local regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure appropriate use of Incoterms in trade transactions.
- Maintain accurate import/export recordkeeping, including COO determination.
- Conduct audits on customs brokerage and shipment transactions.
- Participate in the development, rollout, improvement, training, and auditing of Trade Compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Build and support new compliance and operational structures in new markets.
- Ensure adherence to international legal requirements for global imports/exports.
- Collaborate with internal Tax teams and brokers to establish accurate VAT entry transmission processes.
- Work with IT and cross‑functional partners to optimize systems and workflows.
- Perform Denied Party Screening and reconcile entries with customs authorities.
- Review and apply BTI rulings to ensure correct tariff classification.
- Develop presentations, reports, and action plans for internal stakeholders.
- Provide Trade Compliance training to operational staff as needed.
- Support implementation of compliance processes in new countries and regions.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of US import/export regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering + 10+ years of experience in customs & trade compliance,
- Solid experience in Trade Compliance
- Well versed in using MS Office suite software
- Ability to work and problem solve complex compliance issues independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and metrics, draw conclusions and determine actions
- Capacity for autonomous problem solving and demonstrated multi-tasking capabilities
- Ability to identify process deficiencies and streamline current procedures
- Strong attention to detail, time management, prioritization and organizational skills
