At AAR Aircraft Component Services – Amsterdam, we’re looking for an Operational Buyer to join our Material Planning & Procurement team. What Will You Do?
As an Operational Buyer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our supply chain runs seamlessly, sourcing aircraft-related components and operational necessities.
Your key responsibilities include:
Procurement Excellence:
- Requesting and evaluating quotes, selecting suppliers, and placing orders.
- Negotiating prices and terms within set guidelines to ensure the best value.
- Analyzing vendor performance and driving improvements in quality and reliability.
- Resolving order discrepancies, including negotiating solutions and managing costs.
Streamlined Operations:
- Creating and managing purchase orders, end-user statements, and related documents.
- Logging procurement data and maintaining comprehensive records.
- Managing internal work orders and collecting vendor questionnaires and price lists.
Compliance & Organization:
- Ensuring adherence to aviation-specific regulations and company quality standards.
- Maintaining an orderly and clean workspace in line with health and safety protocols.
What Do You Bring?
We’re looking for someone who can blend expertise with enthusiasm:
Education: An HBO-level qualification in Logistics, Aviation or Engineering or a related field.
Experience: A few years in operational procurement, preferably within a technical environment.
Skills: Sharp negotiation, accurate data management, and a knack for efficient planning.
Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Mindset: Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of challenges.
