Chubb is on a mission to grow its mid-market business in Benelux and we are looking for a Segment Leader to guide us through this. Focus is everything, which is why we have a great team of underwriters dedicated to middle market business. As a Middle Market Segment Leader you will be developing and managing the strategic plan for delivering sustainable, profitable growth of this segment in Benelux. You will obviously work very closely together with the underwriting team, guiding and engaging them. You will also have a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with external parties, like brokers and clients.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Define a clear and differentiated Chubb value proposition for the Middle Market and implement a local distribution strategy.
Drive strong, result-oriented and robust pipeline management across all lines of business and with all underwriters as well as a solid renewal strategy.
Close adherence and understanding of internal profitability criteria, profit and loss planning and production targets will be key performance indicators. Meet plan on production, New Business and Retention.
Develop, engage and guide the underwriters to make optimal use of their potential and help them deliver their best performance. Provide regular coaching and feedback on their strengths and development needs.
Build a relationship and collaborate with regional leaders as well as local team to secure superior growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.
Develop new and existing broker & client relationships. Maintain direct relationship with important customers.
Meet or exceed financial objectives and ensure that appropriate (mitigation) measures are implemented when required to achieve targets.
Qualifications, skills and capabilities – Our expectations
Product know-how and expertise in the (Benelux) insurance market.
Industry experience with either an insurer or broker background. Highly experienced in dealing with brokers, clients and insurers on a very senior level. Ideal candidate has a profound knowledge in (at least) one P&C line of business (or A&H) and a solid understanding of all other relevant product lines.
Strong leadership skills with a drive to achieve superior results. Strategic thinker with the ability to engage people for performance; manages by influence
Positive can-do-attitude; results driven with a willingness to make informed decisions and assume responsibility. Strong entrepreneurial spirit, owns the Middle Market business in The Benelux region with a passion to profitably grow it.
Strong communicator with an ability to build solid networks, both internally and externally, and to promote the Chubb brand.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
