We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (AI Platform) to join the Data & AI division of Head First Group x Impellam. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy machine learning models and AI-driven solutions that run on our global data and AI platform, supporting our Workforce-as-a-Service (Waa S) strategy. Your impact As a Machine Learning Engineer (AI Platform), you play a key role in shaping how AI is applied across our global platform. You work on our Headless Data Architecture (HDA) – a scalable 9‑layer architecture built on Databricks and Unity Catalog – enabling advanced analytics and AI use cases across Europe, the UK, the US, and APAC. You will be responsible for the entire machine learning lifecycle within the platform: from data preparation and feature engineering to model deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvements in production. Working with both predictive models and generative AI, you will develop solutions that directly impact core business capabilities such as talent matching, candidate scoring, and operational intelligence. A key part of your role is translating experimental AI use cases into production‑ready platform capabilities. You evaluate models, validate hypotheses, and ensure that only high‑quality, reliable, and scalable solutions are deployed to the AI platform. You work closely with data engineers, platform engineers, and stakeholders across the organization to ensure that data pipelines, models, and AI outputs are aligned, governed, and fully integrated into the broader data ecosystem. At the same time, you help build a responsible and scalable AI foundation – by embedding governance, documentation, and compliance standards into the AI platform. What you will do Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions on the AI platform (Databricks) Develop and deploy LLM-powered applications and intelligent agents Take full ownership of the end‑to‑end ML lifecycle, from data preparation to monitoring in production Collaborate with data engineers to ensure high‑quality, platform‑ready data pipelines (Bronze → Silver → Gold) Validate AI use cases through structured experimentation and hypothesis testing Integrate AI outputs into downstream platforms such as BI and activation tools Contribute to AI governance, including documentation, bias assessment, and compliance Participate in sprint cycles, code reviews, and architectural discussions Continuously improve model performance, scalability, and reliability within the platform About the role You will be part of a growing Data & AI division that plays a central role in the transformation of Head First Group x Impellam into a truly data‑driven organization. Working with modern technologies such as Databricks, Mosaic AI, and Unity Catalog, you help build and scale a shared AI platform that supports both operational excellence and product innovation. This role offers a strong combination of hands‑on machine learning engineering, platform-based development, and exposure to strategic AI initiatives. Here’s what we offer you Salary that matches your experience – You will receive a salary range that matches your knowledge and experience. Vacation pay and days off – You will receive 8.33% vacation pay and are entitled to 27 vacation days per year based on full‑time employment. Hybrid working – We support hybrid working and apply a 60/40 split, whereby full‑time employees spend three days at the office and two days working from home. Premium‑free pension – We pay your entire pension premium, so you accrue pension without having to contribute to it yourself. Performance bonus – Depending on your performance and that of Head First Group, you may receive an annual bonus of one or two months’ salary. What we expect from you What you bring 3–5+ years of experience in machine learning, AI, or data engineering roles Proven experience with Databricks (Mosaic AI, MLflow, Feature Store, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) Strong Python skills (Py Spark, scikit‑learn, Py Torch, or Tensor Flow) Experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and RAG‑based architectures Solid understanding of data modeling and database architectures Experience with machine learning lifecycle management, experimentation, and model versioning Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for machine learning workflows Strong SQL skills and experience working with large‑scale datasets Experience with monitoring and observability of models and pipelines What you offer as a professional Strong communication skills – able to translate technical outputs into business insights A structured and quality‑driven approach to engineering and documentation A collaborative mindset, working effectively across technical and business teams A pragmatic approach to building and scaling AI solutions A strong commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of the AI field #J-18808-Ljbffr
