Logistics Specialist – Billing Processing – BYD Europe – Hoofddorp


As the first overseas subsidiary of BYD group, our main focus is to provide European customers with new energy vehicles, rechargeable batteries, solar panels, energy storage systems and other new energy products, as well as related after-sales services.

About Logistics Department

Logistics department takes care of the inbound of all the vehicles that are imported from HQ and other factories in Europe; and also the distribution of those vehicles to different European countries. Logistics department is responsible for exploring the most suitable solutions for all logistics issues in the automotive division. The logistics role is key to the success of the fulfilment to customers and orders.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Billing Specialist to join our team. The Logistics Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently managing billing processes related to logistics operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Generate accurate and timely invoices for logistics services rendered to customers.
  • Review shipping and transportation documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Planning and Finance, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure proper billing procedures.
  • Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze billing data and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling billing accounts and preparing financial reports.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to logistics billing practices. 


Main requirements: 

  • Preferably up to 3 years of related working experience or graduate of related study field;
  • Bachelor`s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, data analysis or business management.
  • Proficient Excel user skills;
  • Excellent English language skills, Dutch or any other European language will be considered as an advantage;
  • Stress-resilient with the problem –solving mindset;
  • Team player with attention to detail.
