As an Instrumentation & Hardware Engineer you will provide the essential administrative processes, leadership & coordination, technical knowledge, and perform the work listed, under minimum general supervision.

This position acts as a representative of the Instrumentation & Control Systems sub-discipline of the Electrical & Control Systems Department ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases, considering quality, time and budget requirements, including projects in a multi-office environment.

You will serve as an Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer, Lead, or Area Lead on assigned projects, and / or performs complex technical assignments, including preparation of calculations for Instrumentation & Control Systems Scope, depending on experience level.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for the Instrumentation & Control Systems engineering services on projects
• Define, plan and organize the execution of the work
• Prepare & maintain schedules, develop & monitor man hour, develop manpower forecasts, track and report progress, and assign and monitor work
• Provide direct supervision
• Provide guidance/assistance to all discipline engineers
• Maintain effective relationships with the Client
• Prepare fit for purpose
• Review specifications (project and/or equipment related)
• Preparation/ review of inquiry packages
• Technical bid evaluation, bid evaluation meetings
• Preparation for technical package for purchase order
• Review of supplier drawings & documents
• Engage with suppliers, client, technical specialists
• Prepare / review equipment cost estimates
• Effectively conduct meetings
• Maintain and foster a cooperative, efficient, and good project working environment
• Effectively utilize manpower
• Become involved in department performance ranking
• Travel, as required
• Assist or lead in the development of department standards and procedures
• Assist the department conducting discipline Audits
• Foster a mindset of continuous improvement among the team members and other peers
• Participate in department training programs/seminars and on-line training
• Develop and teach technical training seminars and on-line training
