Drawing upon your technical expertise in control systems and safety instrumentation, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and reliable solutions that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) for industrial processes, including distributed control systems (DCS), safety instrumented systems (SIS), and fire and gas systems (FGS).
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including process engineers, automation specialists, and safety engineers, to understand process requirements, assess control strategies, and develop functional specifications for ICSS.
- Configure and program control systems software, including human-machine interface (HMI), logic controllers, and safety instrumented functions, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Review of Vendor proposals, prepare technical bid clarifications, attend clarification meetings. Review and approve Vendor data and deliverables. Provide expertise input for risk assessment in engaging with Vendors, conduct site visits to gather information related to detailed engineering activities, testing, lead times, etc.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical discussions to ensure robust engineering solutions.
- Conduct system integration tests (SIT) and factory acceptance tests (FAT) to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of ICSS, identifying and resolving issues to ensure successful commissioning and startup.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including control system architecture, functional design specifications, wiring diagrams, and operation manuals, ensuring accuracy and completeness for as-built documentation.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities for ICSS, troubleshooting system issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

- Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and designers. Review and approve the work of less experienced team members to ensure quality and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Integrated Control and Safety Systems for industrial processes.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering ICSS projects within scope, schedule, and budget. Prior experience at a top-tier FPSO contractor is preferred.
Skills:
- Proficiency in control systems software, such as distributed control systems (DCS) and safety instrumented systems (SIS), and programming languages commonly used in industrial automation (e.g., ladder logic, function block diagram).
- Strong knowledge of process control principles, instrumentation, and safety standards (e.g., IEC 61511) and practices, with experience in applying them to design and implementation of ICSS.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess system requirements, identify solutions, and implement effective control strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
