Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead human resources initiatives in Amsterdam, supporting the company’s transformation into a global EPCI(O) solution provider. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in People Assessment, Compensation & Benefits, Executive Management & Organization, and Employee Relations, with a strong understanding of European labor laws and multi-cultural working environments.
This role requires close collaboration with global teams and occasional travel to Europe and Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
People Assessment:
- Develop and implement assessment policies and procedures for probationary and regular evaluations, as well as promotion sessions.
- Lead talent management initiatives, focusing on high-potential and high-professional employees while addressing development needs and succession planning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Design and maintain competitive compensation structures, including pay bands, incentive schemes, and benefits tailored to the European market.
- Oversee payroll operations, year-end tax adjustments, and expatriate employee benefits in compliance with Dutch regulations.
Executive Management & Organization:
- Plan and optimize the organization’s structure, aligning it with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Support leadership in executive session operations and organizational design.
Employee Relations:
- Manage employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with Dutch and EU labor laws while fostering a positive working environment.
- Provide guidance to management on people-related issues, supporting a productive and engaged workforce.
Compliance and Policy Implementation:
- Ensure compliance with Dutch and European labor laws, industry standards, and company policies.
- Develop and enforce HR policies tailored to regional requirements while aligning with global standards.
- Conduct regular audits to assess and improve compliance.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive HR management experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas or related industries.
- Proven expertise in talent assessment, compensation & benefits design, and employee relations within a European context.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch labor laws and EU regulations.
- Experience working in global, multi-cultural environments and collaborating across regions.
Skills:
- Proficiency in HR best practices, including compliance, talent development, and organizational design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch or another European language is a strong advantage.
Work Authorization:
The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the Netherlands prior to joining Hanwha. This role will not sponsor or assist with work authorization in the Netherlands.
