Contract manager –based in the Netherlands (medical department)
Goal of your position: This role will deal with the contracting process between Bayer and Healthcare Professionals or Healthcare Organisations (HCP’s or HCO’s). Entering into contracts s done in a global contracting tool and is a process in which several stakeholders are involved.
The process is quite complex in view of the detailed regulations that apply to cooperations.
The contract manager will be the linking pin between the (legal departments of the) HCO, the individual HCP/his company and Bayer business colleagues and other stakeholders. The contract manager ensures that contract negotiation and signature are handled within the required timelines and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Tasks:
Monitor, supervise and support the local business with all contract requests, while ensuring compliance. These may include (but are not limited to) the following: sponsorship, donation, consultancy, speaker, ad board agreements, clinical trials agreements etc.
Negotiate, under the supervision of Country Medical Director and colleagues from the legal department, contract clauses, including liaising with business colleagues and representatives from the legal department.
Support the signature process including the mandatory signature of the Board of Management in Dutch hospitals.
Participate on a regular basis in local team meetings and workshops concerning contract management. Also work closely with the local business partners, legal department and medical director on projects related to this field.
Centralize and proactively work and communicate on the challenges relating to the mandatory BoM signature in the Netherlands, both internally and externally.
Draw up framework agreements with the most important hospitals in The Netherlands and Belgium
Apply LEAN methodology to facilitate, where possible,the process of contracting.
Provide training on contract management on an if needed basis.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (HBO rechten or equivalent)
At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Fluent in Dutch and English (although not required, knowledge of French is an asset)
Willingness to familiarize yourself with the local industry Codes and regulations
