Job Description
- Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to the recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times. - Station Management – oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and upkeep your designated area with supplies and ensure cleanliness in line with policies and procedures. Toezicht houden op de productie van alle gerechten op jouw station en zorgen dat jouw toegewezen gebied altijd goed bevoorraad en schoon is, in lijn met de beleidsrichtlijnen.
- Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste is considered at all times. Handhaven van hoge kwaliteitsnormen voor alle gerechten, waarbij presentatie en smaak altijd belangrijk zijn.
- Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with all other team members and assist/support all colleagues where necessary. Effectief communiceren met teamleden en ondersteunen van collega’s waar nodig.
- Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes, providing suggestions for improvement or innovation. Samenwerken met de hoofdchef om nieuwe recepten te ontwikkelen en te proeven, en suggesties te doen voor verbetering of innovatie.
- Cleaning and Maintenance – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen including your designated area ensuring equipment is in good working order. Zorgen voor de netheid en organisatie van de keuken, inclusief jouw toegewezen station, en ervoor zorgen dat apparatuur goed functioneert.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in as a Commis Chef or similar role. Aantoonbare ervaring als Commis Chef of een vergelijkbare rol.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Kennis van diverse kooktechnieken en keukens.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Sterk begrip van voedselveiligheid en hygiënepraktijken.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Vermogen om te werken in een snelle, stressvolle omgeving.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Uitstekend oog voor detail en organisatorische vaardigheden.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en teamgeest.
