The O pportunity

The Business Development Manager- Global Airlines will be responsible for growing our portfolio in the Airline Space. This role will be primarily focused in Europe but have a broader remit to acquire business of large global airlines. This role will require a structured approach to business development coordinating with our marketing, product, consulting and credit and risk teams to ensure that we can identify and execute on the right market opportunities.

This role will report to the Global Head of Travel and Airlines and offers an exciting opportunity to lead the strategic direction of travel and airline business in the dynamic Pan-European market. Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

  • Identify and qualify the opportunities available in the market best suited to the Wordline solution for Airlines.
  • Engage prospects at multiple levels and in multiple ways to increase buyer urgency.
  • Be a key sales representative externally, and the voice of the customer with our internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop in conjunction with marketing and product, collateral, content and an engagement plan to create market visibility.
  • Represent the organisation at relevant travel events where Global Airlines are present.
  • Work closely with credit and risk to ensure policy is in place the supports appropriate risk and compliance controls for this proposition.
  • Who Are We Looking For

  • Sales background with minimum 8 years of exposure with travel/financial industry.
  • Experience working with or for airlines or travel business in payments.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in any European Language is a plus.
  • Passion for Sales!!!
  • Self-driven, Well organized and structured.
  • “Can do” mentality and known for getting things done.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally for the greater good of the company.
